Mandy currently teaches at the Mt Albert branch of Art Space Studio. She graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Hebei Normal University and has over 20 years of local teaching experience in New Zealand.
Early in her career, Mandy actively participated in various art exhibitions and received multiple awards. She was also recognized as an Outstanding Art Instructor with a second-place national award for her exceptional student coaching in China’s national children’s art competitions. Her passion for art led her to Moscow, where she immersed herself in the masterpieces of European painting and sculpture, further refining her artistic perspective.
Mandy later returned to her alma mater for advanced studies in both oil painting and traditional Chinese ink painting, and her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and private collections. She has exhibited widely in New Zealand and currently serves as the Secretary-General of the New Zealand Chinese Culture and Art Centre.
Deeply committed to education, Mandy is known for her warm, attentive approach and her ability to connect with young learners. She respects each child’s individuality and encourages their imagination and creativity through sketching, design, and portfolio preparation for art college entrance.
